This exhibition is set to showcase the evolution of human desires depicted by the artist over the past 16 years. The exhibition is organized around the theme 'Polaris - Craving - Dream of the Butterfly.' 'Polaris' symbolizes the starlight (dreams and hope) that illuminates the path of life's journey. It narrates the stories of individuals living for their dreams, relying on dreams to navigate through life. The subsequent 'craving' artworks express the inherent desires of humans, which serve as the origin of dreams. It lays bare places one wants to go, things one desires, and the psychological states one dreams of without hesitation, repeating the process of layering and peeling off imaginative layers on canvas. The final piece, 'Dream of the Butterfly,' represents contemplation on the essence, values, and direction of life. The artist, through this last series, combines imaginative experiences gained from artistic activities with his own visual language, breaking away from the conventional framework of painting to fill the canvas uniquely. Among the works with the proposition of the dream of the butterfly, the self-portrait featuring a Buddha figure symbolically expresses enlightenment and struggles in human history, raising questions about human desires and the meaning of life.
