Art Token Inc. (represented by CEO Hong Ji-suk, hereinafter referred to as "Art Token") announced on the 12th that a solo exhibition of the emerging figure in Korean neo-surrealism, artist Park Jeong-yong, titled 'stone people,' will be held from the 23rd of this month until May 21st at SPACE 2R2 in Samseong-dong, Seoul.Park Jeong-yong's artworks evoke the Renaissance-era Italian artist Arcimboldo by creatively portraying portraits with objects. However, he distinguishes himself by using nature itself as material, creating dynamic figures infused with a mythical atmosphere."Stone people" reflects the artist's reflections and confessions, projecting dreamlike neo-surrealistic imaginations within the realities shared with his beloved partner. Notably, the affection for a lover, considered a universal and empathetic eternal value, is artistically depicted by likening humans to nature. In this exhibition, the artist will collaborate with Art Token NFT STUDIO to present digital artworks produced as NFT ART alongside physical pieces. Especially, the digital artworks co-created by Park Jeong-yong and Art Token are increasingly being exhibited in public institutions and privately-owned cafes due to the growing trend favoring the practicality of installation and preservation and the demand for media art.Hong Ji-suk, CEO of Art Token, commented, "The exhibition of Park Jeong-yong, who is actively engaging in vibrant artistic activities, is stirring a new wind in Korean neo-surrealism," and added, "Art Token is leading the digitalization of artworks and certifying ownership through NFTs, protecting artist rights and promoting the popularization of art."
