Spectrum of Emotion

Emotions are not singular. Like color and light, they resonate with different intensities in each person. This exhibition explores how emotion is transformed into form, color, and rhythm through the distinct visual languages of four artists. Rather than expressing feelings directly, they allow subtle emotions to permeate the structure of the image, the density of color, and the flow of rhythm. At the point where the end of the year meets a new beginning, their works invite viewers to pause amid the busyness of passing time and turn their gaze inward, reflecting on their own emotions. Within the visual resonance created by differing emotional states, stillness and vitality, warmth and tension coexist. Through this convergence, the artists demonstrate that emotion is not a linear phenomenon, but a spectrum. 감정은 단일하지 않다. 빛이 프리즘을 통과하며 스펙트럼을 이루듯, 우리의 감정 또한 서로 다른 결을 품고 진폭을 달리하며 존재한다. 《Spectrum of Emotion》은 이러한 감정의 스펙트럼이 그라플렉스, 이사라, 이상원, 하태임 네 작가가 구축해온 고유한 시각 언어를 통해 형태와 색, 구조와 리듬 속에서 어떻게 변주되는지를 살펴보는 전시이다. 네 작가는 감정을 직접적으로 묘사하거나 도상화하지 않는다. 대신 회화적 질감과 화면의 구조, 색채의 농도 속에서 감정의 미묘한 흐름을 은유적으로 드러낸다. 화면 속 여백과 밀도의 대비는 감정의 고조와 이완을 암시하고, 색채의 미묘한 변화는 한 감정이 다른 감정으로 스며드는 과정을 보여준다. 네 작가의 작업은 저마다 다른 파장으로 진동하지만, 그 진동들은 서로를 배제하지 않고 하나의 공간 안에서 겹쳐지고 울린다. 한 해의 끝과 새해의 시작이 이어지는 시점, 우리는 지나온 시간을 돌아보며 자신이 느꼈던 감정들을 정리하고자 한다. 이 전시는 한 해 동안 자신 안에 축적되어온 감정의 층위를 있는 그대로 마주하는 시간을 제공한다. 서로 다른 네 개의 감정의 결이 한 공간에서 공명(共鳴)하며, 감정이 하나의 해석으로 닫히지 않고 끊임없이 확장되는 스펙트럼임을 조용히 일깨워준다.
